Tests
Tested by Fast Bikes Journalist and BSB Racer,
Al Fagan, he said of the Nitron Sport Shock
on our Fireblade:
"...you
have to have a sorted rear end, the 'Blade is
catered for by a Nitron Shock. Although it doesn’t
have the vast adjustment of a gazillion different
settings that an Öhlins would, it still
does the same job. Don’t be put off by
the name and the budget status, the Nitron does
more than enough ...producing a superbly balanced
bike". Click

NITRON’s philosophy is a straightforward; “Evolution
and High-Quality Throughout”, meaning that as
a result of their modular design, the
top-end components for their race shocks are standard
all the way through the NITRON
range.
All NITRON shocks are monotube shim type with a high
pressure gas charge. Couple this with their large
piston area and an all-aluminium alloy CNC machined
totally rebuildable construction and you have an ultra
low friction damper with excellent heat dissipation
properties, ensuring total reliability and fade resistance.
So, whether for road only, road and track or race
only, HPS can provide the NITRON suspension for you
to deliver consistent operation and handling, mile
after mile and lap after lap.
Your Shock - Your Spec.

Quotes taken from RiDe magazine reader's bikes feature...
"After
25K the original suspension was getting saggy.
Mine now has a Nitron road shock with remote
preload and I had an MCT service and repair,
including a re-spring of the forks. The bike
is now transformed and that’s not just
psychological."
MG, Honda 2003 CBR900RR Fireblade
"Replaced
standard unit with Nitron rear shock – improved
the back end."
BK, Suzuki 2001 GSX-R600
"Matris
fork internals and Nitron rear shock, both designed
for the bike and have transformed it. The stock
shock was finished at 20K and dangerous by 25K.
You can service the Nitron for just £55
every 20,000 miles."
