Madstad accomplishes superior airflow by separating your bike's windshield from its fairing with the patented adjustable RoboBracket system. By scooping air up under the windshield, it eliminates the vacuum normally generated behind your screen which causes turbulence and buffeting.

Your new windshield will then be fully adjustable for height, tilt and depth (distance from the rider). With the windshield raised from the fairing, air can flow underneath, eliminating the turbulence-causing vacuum behind it and giving you total control over the airflow and position of your shield, meaning one size shield will work perfectly for many different height riders.

For riders under 5'10" (178cm) the 9" (220mm) shield is recommended
For riders 5'10" - 6'0" (178 - 183cm) the 11" (270mm) shield is recommended
For riders 6'1" - 6'3" (185 - 191cm) the 13" (330mm) shield is recommended
For riders over 6'3" (191cm) the 15" (380mm) shield is recommended

HOW TO MEASURE
While sitting on the bike run a measuring tape measure upwards from the ignition switch. Looking straight ahead, estimate where your chin/mouth level is on the tape then subtract 4 inches. For example, if your chin/mouth is at about the 15 inch level as for the rider in the photo, you would order an 11 inch windshield because that is where the top edge will be when the Madstad brackets are in the lowest position. Using the brackets, you will be able to come up 2 inches from there. The 13 inch shield will be at the 17 inch line on the tape and so on. Make sure you order a shield that is below your line of sight so that you will be able to look over the top of the shield.
