Techtronics PQS3 Digital Quick-Shifter
At first glance the Techtronics PQS3 Digital Quickshifter
could simply appear to be like other conventional
analogue Quickshifters, in that it allows you to make
full throttle clutchless shifts - but that's where
the similarities end...
Conventional
Quckshifters have a single fixed interrupt or "kill"
period meaning the amount of time the ignition is
cut between gears is identical - whichever gears you're
shifting betweeen and whatever revs the engine is
at.
With
bike sequential gearboxes requiring more than twice
the amount of time for a smooth change from first
to second at low revs, compared with between fifth
and sixth at peak revs, it's easy to see that a quickshifter
with one fixed kill time will always be operating
with a major compromise in its settings for the majority
of the time.
Users
of existing analogue quickshifters may well recognise
this as the jerky gear changes they experience at
low revs (in fact some quickshifters switch themselves
off below certain engine speeds to combat the problem
- calling this an advanced "feature"), combined
with the occasional and potentially gearbox-wrecking
missed shifts at very high revs, because the single
adjustment possible with such systems cannot be correctly
set for all conditions.
The Technical Standard
The Fully-Digital Techtronics PQS3 System can acheive
the smoothest shifts under all conditions by actually
collecting engine speed and road speed data from the
bike's own sensors - to identitfy which gear is being
shifted from and to, combined with what revs the engine
operating is at - and automatically lengthens or shortens
the kill time accordingly.
• Alows full throttle clutchless shifts on track
or road
•
Can also be user at low revs and normal road riding
speeds too
• Includes programmable 3-stage sequential shift-lights
• Supplied pre-configured - just fit & go
with no settings to change...
• ...or, easy custom set-up - with no PC required
• Complete with shift-rod sensor or integral
lever sensor
• Much kinder to your gearbox
By
far the most advanced quickshifter you can buy -
really is that simple! |
