Why Foam?
Pipercross foam is the secret to a lightweight,
long-life performance air filter.
Pipercross air filters consistently outperform paper
and cotton-gauze rivals to supply air to the engine
- even when dirty!
This is thanks to the multi-laminate construction
of reticulated polyurethane foam lattice, impregnated
with a dirt retention additive, used in every Pipercross
performance air filter. Layers of varying porosity
all work together to trap different sized particles.
No matter what shape or size of airbox, Pipercross
can design an air filter for it as the flexibility
of using Pipercross foam enables the construction
of round, oval flat - and even reverse-flow filters
- all giving greater surface area than the competition.
Air filter efficiency testing
Through extensive research and testing using the
SAE J726c air cleaner test, Pipercross have developed
the perfect combination of filter density and thickness
of each layer. Where Pipercross filters are impregnated
with the dirt retention additive, the filtration
performance is greater enhanced - the additive helps
the foam to swell, opening pores whilst providing
a "sticky" layer to hold more dirt.
This greater dirt capacity translates to longer
life and, as Pipercross filters are washable, there
is no waste - helping the environment and your wallet!

to ensure that every air filter meets the exacting
standards demanded by you, our customer.

Race-Only
Filters
As a result of this programme, Pipercross
also offer a range of race/track-day only
filters for a selected range of bikes commonly
found in the Supersport and Superbike classes.
These filters have a higher airflow capacity,
but a far lower service/cleaning interval
requirement of only 2,000 miles, making them
unsuitable for normal road use. In addition,
because Pipercross race filters alter the
airflow by an increased margin, they should
only be installed in conjunction with a correctly
mapped fuel injection module, such as a Power
Commander. |

Filter Cleaning Kits
Keep your Pipercross air filter in peak condition
with a Pipercross Cleaning Kit. Each kit contains
all you need to clean and recharge your Pipercross
filter and a dirt-retention additive.
Both the cleaner and retention additive are
supplied in convenient dispensers so that
servicing is quick and easy.
