| "Installation and set up are a piece of cake... The GiPro has helped in the 'pulling away from almost standstill' cases. So if you are slowing down for the lights and just before you stop they turn green you glance at the GI and see that you are in second, so drop down to first and off you go!
When riding around twisty B roads it was useful to know exactly what gear I was using. The GiPro allowed me to judge better if I had to kick a gear down or not to have more engine breaking, or if I could accelerate quickly enough with in a certain distance.
Also the shift light, something that I wasn't able to use during commuting, was useful. Knowing when the best time to shift up is, allows for a smoother, quicker ride. Particularly when you are riding with a faster bike and you want to keep up.
Finally the GiPro helped avoid the search for 7th gear on the motorway. I find that I forget what gear I am in after long stretches of the motorway and have gone looking to change up when I have run out of gears. The pulling in of the clutch, not finding a gear and releasing a gear is an embarrassing and jerky experience that I can now avoid.
If you do a lot of B road blasts and trackdays, then you should seriously consider this product.

GiPro DS-Type
The GiPro-DS reads the gear position information directly from the ECU via the manufacturer's diagnostic port (where fitted), which makes it faster and more reliable than other gear indicators. There are no buttons, no programming wires. The unit is fully automatic. In most cases there's no need to cut and splice wires, no need to access several connectors and only ONE plug to connect - it couldn't be simpler!
GiPro X-Type G2
The GiPro X-Type connects to the speed sensor, and one or two simple wire taps to the loom/ECU may be required, installation is made as simple as possible for each individual bike. A Programmable Shift Light function as well as High Speed Warning feature is included. The Auto Brightness Controller ensures that display brightness is always optimal (the sensitivity level can be fine tuned if desired).
*GiPro WSS-Type
For all Hondas without electrically driven speedos as standard (but which do have an electrically/electronically driven Tacho/Rev-counter) the GiPro Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS-Type) comes with a magnetic pickup convertor which generates the electrical pulse required by sensing disc bolt or sprocket nut movement. Please note the WSS units are universal and not model specific, but installation has been made as simple as possible.
