The problem with standard chain adjusters is that accurate alignment, without resorting to using extra tools needing three hands, is next to impossible, as the marks on the swing arm are never accurate and the adjustment bolts are not held rigidly, allowing sloppiness.

This means that not only is the chain out of alignment, causing premature wear of both chain and sprockets, but that the wheel is not straight. This causes uneven wear on the tyre, puts an asymmetric load onto the wheel bearings, and upsets the handling.

Gilles KTS Chain Adjusters are designed to eliminate all of the above by providing a precision engineered system that holds the axle and adjusters rigid giving a precise visual indication of alignment.

Made to the same exacting standards as the adjusters, matching Lifters are available enabling safe and level lifting of the machine. Chain can then be adjusted even easier than when on the sidestand and one person can lift the bike*.

*Great care must be taken when putting any bike on and off a paddock stand.
