| SLIP-ON
Silencers
The
Akrapovic SLIP-ON system is a parallel
line to the BOLT-ON series and is based
on a simple replacement of the stock
muffler together with the link pipe.
The rest of the stock system remains
untouched. The system is developed and
fine-tuned for each specific model of
motorcycle, and is the last step before
a serious tune-up involving the replacement
of the entire exhaust system.

SPORT
PRODUCTION Systems
The
SPORT PRODUCTION line is a complete replacement
exhaust system. It represents the first
level of serious performance improvement
at a reasonable price, using a completely
redesigned exhaust system.
It is intended for those who expect sports
performance, but not the extreme racing
characteristics of a race-replica exhaust
system. The major advantage of this line
is that it is intended for everyday use,
but don't think that the performance of
the system suffers as a result! On the
contrary, the SPORT PRODUCTION line offers
power and torque which stock exhaust systems
simply cannot match!

RACING
CONICAL Systems
The
RACING line guarantees extreme high performance.
The increase in power and torque is extreme,
as is characteristic of Akrapovic exhaust
systems. If you are a fan of pulling power
at high revs, you will be delighted by

of having the power concentrated in the
upper end of the rpm range, as is called

LEGAL
The
STREET LEGAL line is a special line
which satisfies the strict EGE regulations
for use in road traffic. It has to meet
noise emission and safety standards.
Since it is quieter than other Akrapovic
exhaust systems, but still has the deep
recognisable Akrapovic sound, it is
intended for customers with a greater
need for limited noise emissions.
The major advantage of the STREET LEGAL
line is the option of two-way use of
the exhaust system: everyday use on
the street or winding it up on the racetrack
by replacing the street legal muffler
with the racing version. |

How often I have to change the silencer
packing material (damping wool)? Is it
necessary at all? |
| A.
Durability of the damping material depends
on the type of the motorcycle, riding
style, mileage…
Normally, single and twin cylinder engines
have stronger exhaust gasses, valve
pulses and higher temperatures.
Silencer packing material should be
replaced when you notice the first visual
changes on the muffler sleeve material
or when the muffler approaches the circuit
noise limit, Please check the muffler
visually before every season.
In general the silencer packing material
should be replaced every 2 years. |

Which jet kit do you recommend to use
with your exhaust system? |
| A.
Akrapovic exhaust systems are developed
for engines in stock conditions using
the standard carburetor setting eg.
Electronic Fuel Injection mapping. On
some bikes it is possible to improve
engine performance using aftermarket
jet kits or different settings on EFI.
It's up to you, which jet kit or what
mapping you will use.
IMPORTANT: Never change the exhaust
system and the jet's or EFI mapping
at the same time. First replace the
exhaust system, than the other things.
We suggest all modification should be
performed by authorised person.
